I shot Presenter, Adventurer and all-round nice guy Ben Fogle a couple of weeks ago for Typhoo. I think we had about 30 minutes at 8am between an interview with Sky News and a flight to Australia. By the time we had the packshots and a portrait in the bag it was all over. I had the producer whispering a countdown in my ear as we shot. Working against the clock like that certainly focuses the concentration.

I was up at Brighton Tattoo Convention last weekend, shamelessly bagging knuckles. This was my favorite by a long shot. Saw a few old friends from last year - Sandwich, True Cat and Die Alone. Check the set on Flickr.

After spending the last year creating a mass of video content alongside my stills I figured that it was time to give the work a home. This has been done by the ever wonderful @tjhole. I’m really pleased with how it came out. Head over to the Well Hung Pictures website to check it out.

Just came across this album cover from Mademoiselle Caro & Franck Garcia’s ‘Left’ album that came out a while back using one of my stills. Created by the very talented IWANT design.

I must have been doing something right because I’ve now been asked three times to shoot DJ and musician Nerm. Founder of Shiva Sound System and a regular on Radio 1, 1Xtra, BBC 2 and BBC 6 Music, he is an exceptionally lovely and rather talented man. Keep an eye out for the film ‘Everywhere and Nowhere’ from the director of Kidulthood that Nerm was recently Music Consultant on.

Last weekend I was in Montreal, shooting Flowers and Sea Creatures who have an album coming out this autumn on Ben Watt’s superb Buzzin’ Fly label. We spent a couple of days together shooting in their studio and out and about on the streets of the Plateau district and I came away with some really strong work. Can’t wait for their album to drop in September. Great band, great city.

I was on assignment at Glastonbury a couple of weeks ago and am just starting to get through to some of the personal work I shot while there. I met these two girls as I was just walking between stages. They had these great outfits and a wonderful vibe. It sums up what a festival like Glastonbury is about.

Dr Christian Jessen stepped in front of the lens for a portrait last week while I was shooting stills on a commercial he featured in. Lovely chap and owner of possibly the biggest smile I have ever seen. The location was a sprawling 1920’s art deco house that apparently used to belong to the exceptionally stylish and rather wonderful Bryan Ferry.
